I am moving into pa this coming winter, I am moving into an old farm house
with a lot of land. I go for jogs every morning and am looking for a jogging
partner. I don't know what breed to get though. I want something large to
extra large, protective but not overly, and not want a dog who is extremely
difficult to train. Grooming is not an issue I don't mind it. However I
don't want an extremely vocal dog, a bark here and there is fine but not
constantly. I have tried the breed selectors on multiple pages and found
nothing really. I would love a siberian husky but from what I have read the
are difficult to train. Can anyone give me some insight one Huskys, or
advice on another breed. Thanks in advance.

We need more information. Where will the dog live primarily, outside or
inside? Do you plan on a dog who can be let outside and not roam off the
property? How much attention (from you) will the dog get outside of feeding
time? Do you have cats?

I will be home most of the day except while at school, while I am at home
the dog and I will be either in the fenced in yard or the house. He will be
an inside dog when I am not home. I am not so worried about him roaming off
somewhere because my yard is fenced and once trained when we jog he will be
on a leash. He would be an only dog/pet. I keep saying he but that raises
another question... do I go with a male or female?

TIA
Maggie
