I would like to clip the wing feathers on one of my budgies. I have done it
before so skill is not a problem. I have heard though that some birds will
remember the incident and resent it. I've also heard that using a towel to
hold the bird will transfer the resentment to the towel. Have you folks and
experience on this?

I only clip my birds when I first bring them home.

I do this to teach them a few lessons about getting "up" on my finger
etc.
I think that clipping the wings of birds constantly is cruel and cuts
down on the quality of their lives. Birds love to fly..and are much
healthier when they do. Keep your windows closed...your screens up and
your mirrors covered and let them fly!

that's my advice. I tend to clip them by holding them with one hand and
clipping with the other...I don't bother with a towel as I don't get as
firm a hold on them..nor can I tell as well how much I am clamping down
on them.

All of my birds have free flight in my home. None of my birds have ever
flown into a window or mirror and have a ball being free. I find it the
best way for them to get some good cardiovascular exercise.
