I dont' think anyone wants your used husband. Perhaps you could drop him
off at Human Control.

Actually, there is such a word. It's not used properly in the first
statement, nor does it make any sense in the context of the first
statement, but "wont" is most certainly a (somewhat archaic) word.

"All us woman" (sic) know how to get around her husband? Life's not a
cabaret, it's a bloody carousel...

That's not exactly how I do it. But my method is tried
and true and works, 99.9% of the time.

speak for yourself.

some of us have healthy relationships and don't try to "get round him", just
because we can't always have our way.

Especially one that has been trained to believe that he has the power to "let"
his partner do this or that....

Yes I also have a healthy relationship.
I have never had the need to trade.
Lucky for me I would not need to ask if I wanted a dog.
We both love dogs.
Hence we have two dogs and two cats...and we both love them to bits.
So guess I am one of the lucky ones.
I have friends who just lost there dog and she would dearly love another.
Her hubby said NO.
He also told me that he may give in after a couple of years.
Seems a shame to me as the loss of the dog is making her ill now.:-(

I can see something said as a joke....started something.:-)
I do hope you get your dog one day.
Bet your hubby misses your dog to.
Just maybe he hurts to much at the moment to go out and get another.
Good luck.

The poster said her husband didn't want "another dog". I interpreted that
to mean they already have one. Even if it means replacing a dog, I think
that a dog should go to a totally dog-friendly household. There is a reason
that many shelters ask to meet the family when thay adopt out a dog. Some
people are not comfortable with an animal, or with more than one animal. It
may be a situation where the previous, or current, dog is untrained or
ill-behaved. I love dogs, but I would go crazy living with my neighbour's
two constantly yapping poodles.

Let's not judge the husband withour knowing the circumstances.
