alienbill,
Plastic passes more oxygen but this may not be enough for the spider
and, in any case, there will be an accumulation of carbon dioxide, water
and other vapors in a sealed container.
Options:
1: Cover the jug with cloth and a rubber band, instead of the screw cap
2: Cut out the center of the screw cap and replace with screening, using
a soldering iron to melt the screen into the plastic
3: Cut windows into the plastic jug and replace with window screening,
using a soldering iron to melt the screen into the plastic
4: Cut numerous holes in the jug and plug these with wads of cotton or
pieces of foam.
She'll appreciate a dark, protected retreat if the bottle is bright
light and make sure that she's not on the same shelf as the speakers.
She's practically stone deaf but incredibly sensitive to vibrations.
It is a felony to ship venomous animals by US Post and most common
commercial carriers will not accept them.
Best,
Chuck
