Post subject: white fronted amazons
Archived from groups: alt>pets>parrots>amazons (more info?)

I have a pair of white fronted amazons. Male and female. The hen lays
every year but the eggs are never fertile. The male is an ex pat, takes
little notice of the hen but adores women and will come over and flirt
whenever someone visits my aviaries. The previous person had the pair
toether for 5 years with no babies, and I'm convinced that this is
simply another case of an ex pet being unsuitable for breeding. This
year I have decided to bring the male indoors as a pet and replace him
with an aviary male. Will let you know how it goes. Now all I have to do
is find a suitable male.
