Archived from groups: alt>pets>mice (more info?)

My girlfriend recently got a job at a petstore (groan!) and on the first
day brought home a 'sick' mouse. I put sick in ''s because from what I've
read in previous posts and her experience with rodents says it's not
actually sick.
The first thing is it's tremendously hyperactive. ALWAYS moving, and very,
very fast. Even its grooming is at crazy speeds. Also, there's the common
spin-in-circles thing, but the ears look clean and an ear infection would
kind of go against the hyperactivity, wouldn't it?
Finally, and most disturbingly, there's a crazy head bob going on. It'll be
in the middle of doing something and just throw it's head back. It looks
involuntary.
Any suggestions, opinions, etc?

It is still eating, drinking, and grooming itself too.

TIA

Sounds like your mouse is hyper by nature. All mice are energetic when
young and some are more so than others. Like people each mouse has their
own characteristics. I've got 3 mice. The 2 females are very energetic
and were much more so when young. My older male is less energetic than
the females.
