Today we had the house re plumbed with copper pipe. With all the flux and
solder used in putting copper pipe together, how long do I need to wait
before using the water out of the faucet for water changes?Guess I had
better buy a bunch of bottled water at the store tomorrow. Thanks.

Just run extra charcoal for the next water change. Copper is used as a
treatment for ick in far higher doses then what you will get out of
the pipes.

If you had a reef tank the answer would be different. Very small level
of copper are deadly to invertebrates like coral.

Might also suggest NovAqua to neutralize the heavy metals...
