Hello,
We've tried three self watering feeders and our cat keeps playing in the
bowl and splashing water around. I heard that there is a feeder that has a
smaller hole in the middle of the feeder to where the cat cannot spill it
out as much and play in the water. I bought three brands, 1 from petsmart, 1
from Target, 1 from Albertsons. What do you use? The food feeder works
great.
Thanks
ED

I bought one at PetCo that uses a bottle. It's a two sided feeder with a
small
threaded hole in the center. I just buy a bottle of water like Disani with
the
twist off cap. Turn the empty food dish upside down and screw it on, and
then
flip it over. I don't really buy my cat bottled water, I refill the bottle
with my
filtered water. Works great. Lasts my one cat almost a week.

I've been thinking of getting one myself. Which actual brands have you
tried? Electric or non-electric? Are you saying you've had problems with
all three of them? heh, I don't mind having water splashed around the
kitchen floor, but I'd hate to have it run out.

the basic ones at albertsons, the only one sold at target, and one or two at
petco. don't know brands though. they all share the same feature where the
bowl is about 5 inches wide. 1 1/2 inches deep and a bottle you turn upside
down into the bowl to dispense the water.
