Post subject: water bottle accident

just to get a quick opinion before I order a new bottle.. I had this rather
tough thick plastic (I understand there are the softer kinds too) water
bottle and accidentally (it was early morning) poured boiled water into the
bottle.. it only deformed slightly then hardended immediately after again..
so the bottle is totally usable.. but I want to see whether you think the
bottle may be no longer safe to drink from given any potential chemical
reaction that may have happened... spreading perhaps residues now into the
water

Shouldnt have any effect on the bottle , they should be scalded out
every week anyway

Bottle should be fine. My question is how does one pour boiling water into
ANYTHING!? lolol Must have been a rough night the night before. ;o) thank
God you weren't THIRSTY instead. You might have been writing this post from
your hospital bed!

Tragic accident - About a week ago I was given a kit with a nasty biting habit. Today we found her head stuck between the bars and she was dead. We named her Gannon. I hope she enjoyed her short lived life with us. KG

back on the bottle... - Well, thanks to Boris' antics with the water bowl; splashing it EVERYWHERE and making a huge mess, everyone in back on water bottles now. Kept an eye on them for a bit to make sure everyone figured them out, as two of our kids have never used bottles..

Bottled water - In a couple of months, we may be moving to a place where we only have lake water on tap. This is not really potable for a ferret, so I am thinking of a suitable water source for Avalon, who won't want to wait for boiled water to cool. Any problems..

Water Babies - Well I confirmed it; Bean's a water baby. This morning I filled his tub with three inches of warmish water and stocked the tub with little plastic toys, some that sink, some that float. He was there the instant I turned the tap on, and from the moment ...

drinking water for ferrets - out of pure curiousity, I've been giving regular tap water (we have pretty good quality around here) to my guys for a long while.. and everyone seems happy with it etc... but I am curious, last nite I put some bottled (distilled, big bottles) water....
