uvb 8% is this to much foa an ig

ive got a tall cage (6 feet) the light is at the top of the cage and i do
see him basking under it in the mornings but the rest of the day hes
crawling aroun d not getting much light. in winter he doesnt get much sun.
should i increase the uvb from 5 % to 8%. all info is welcome.

try the herp group

if its a spot light for basking how far away is it when it basks? uv
travels about a foot or 18 inches from the tube, you may want a low heat mat
jsut to raise the body temp as i have trouble keeping mine hot with just a
light this time of year
