Post subject: Another update on our site
Archived from groups: alt>pets>rodents>rats (more info?)

Finding open wifi spots is tricky, so we only get on line
occasionaly,

but updated the ratties part of my site again, just a page on their
cage, because today i added some guttering inside the van... as a rat
run to allow the boys to get to the other pelmet, trippeling their run
size.

photo's and better descriptions are at:
http://www.kampenwagen.co.uk/gazz%20sam%20&%20toffee.htm

Branden's had a lung infection, took him to the vets on monday, given
an injection, noogie too just to be safe as they live together, and
some medicine to try and make them swallow, noogie loves it and asks
for more, branden squeals like a baby,

but the infection seems to have cleared up, no more red sneeze marks
all over the place from branden, and his nose is back to the normal
cute ratty pink, rather than snotty red.

Just to answer some Q's from my other posts,

the van is a motorhome we build our selves a couple of years ago,
that's what my site is about really,

we've been out touring europe since may this year, going back home to
england middle of december, we'd love to stay out for ever, but should
have headed south, had a very snowy day today, and we had to move on
to Stuttgart (germany) as a parcel is waiting for me at the post
office there.

Branden and noogie get on together pretty well, they are still
deciding who's the boss, amazingly noogie seems to spend more time
pinning branden down and power licking him, he'll nick food out of
brandens mouth, but branden does walk all over noogie... litteraly,
he'll pee on him, resulting in noogie chasing him and grabbing his
tail if he can.

oh yeah, i found that pet food i was after again, it's by 'JR Farm'
and it has only got dried prawns in it as meat, the other bits i
thought were meat are dried fruits, they just looked like some of the
dried and cured meats i see for sale everywhere in germany,

Toffee loves the boys, she favours noogie, but there is a reason for
that... hope no ones eating.....

Noogie produces a great deal of..erm, bum nuggets, and toffee has
found out they taste quite nice, so she treats him like her own puppy,
she'll wash him all over, and wash his behind... probably like how a
mother dog does to encourage her pups to poop,

she wont touch brandens bum nuggets, but he still gets a wash every
now and then, but branden usually chases toffee around the van, he
wants to climb her legs, and she dosent like that, so gets up on the
sofa to hide from him.

Thanks for all the nice comments about the boys, they certianly have
brought a new dimention in entertainment into our lives, 2 ratties are
deffo better than one, now how do i keep my self from getting more? :)

Branden seems stuck at 225 grams, Noogie was 95 when we got him 9 days
ago, he's now 115 grams... still havent found the fold down digital
scales i want for the van, to we're still using supermarked ones :)

LMAO, dogs huh? - Dirty toe rags at time, lol! Sounds like Toffee is a lil'
sweatheart with the ratties though, bless her heart, and yes she's probably
licking Noogie's bum to encourage him to poop more 'treats' out! I'm glad
Branden's infection has cleared up and everything is going well in the
Campervan family!

Tracey

P.S. I know Lakeland sell those fold down digital scales
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/product.aspx/!11131 This one looks good too,
and would be ideal for your van

Branden was sick? I'm glad to hear he's doing alright again.

Yay, I was right, it actually was JR Farm! In my humble opinion about
everything JR Farm produces falls under the category treats rather than
food. But then again, I don't really know about everything they produce.

You don't really have room for more? Of course, that's actually never
stopped anyone from getting more rats. ;-)

The shelving you put up looks like great fun for them. Dogs can be
pretty grotty. Well my dog had a thing for cat poo, so rat poo doen't
seem too bad in comparison. Hope no ones eating when they read this!
