So I started reading um...Lair by James Herbert last night. Its about
rats (probably mad psycho killer ones), and is part of a trilogy from
what I can work out.

movies I know of..um..Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh (book too?), and
of course the new one Rata...whatever.

Are there any more out there? Surely there has to be a movie about mad
killer psycho rats. Or maybe even a Milo and Otis type?

I use to read a series about mice and rats, I think it was called the
rescuers or something, was pretty cool, because they used make shift swords,
and stuff out of pins and stuff.

pretty cool for a 12 year old with a collection of mice to read that stuff,
even made a few swords and things for them to try and see what happens, got
them to carry them around, but that's about it.

Lair is really good, Domain and Rats are the other two from the trilogy,
James Herbert is a brilliant author, I've read all of his books.

I remember the rescuers. They made a cartoon out of it. If it's the
same one, there was a seagull in it.

I read Lair and the other two books when I was in high school, some 17
years ago. Each book got more gruesome. It was James Herbert who
finally turned me off horror novels.

I read a new-agey book called "Animals and the Afterlife" and the
woman who wrote it rescues rats and a number of her stories are about
her rats.

Mmmm...Lair is (so far) scary enough for me to only read it in
daylight, with Chrissy as support (or the added fear factor) :D

Might have to look for the new-agey one, sounds like a good one for
using up tissues.
