Although I find your choice for a title laughable I guess it's good
that someone exposes the evil doings of certain countries. You might
also want to focus a bit more on the barbaric hunting industry of North
America and don't forget beef farming. It's not just the cute dogs and
cats that are in trouble. Ain't that so, "Regina"?

Oops! Sorry for having taken this article seriously, dear reader. I
just realized there is a Regina Schmid-Seanie Ruttledge link. So we
have more Brit insanity on a protestant mission to save the world from
those evil foreign cultures. Ah, just take over their island.

Oops again! I regret having assumed that Regina was a Brit. It's just
that I 've read too many letters to the editor in the Athens News about
greek "animal cruelty" written by various Holy Brits. Yeah, it sure is
annoying when morality is used as a license to practice racism against
other cultures. Christians have used holyness to perform jihads. Today
Muslims do same. By the way. Now that you mention Regina might be
German you know the funny thing? I might have even met her myself. We
were talking about an eagle that had been injured by a hunter. We both
shared the same anti-hunting views. But I didn't see her nasty side
then. Then was about 10 years ago near Monastiraki.

Dogs and cats are cute but more important issues are facing the planet.
All hunters must be identified as the criminals that they are. Whoever
goes to war against nature is insane and dangerous for the planet.
Greenpeace should militarize itself and invade any country that commits
attrocities against nature. That would include China, Brazil, Canada,
USA, as well as Greece. Whoever singles out Greece turning a blind eye
to other ecoterrorist nations must have an anti Greek bias. I feel
sorry for them.

Although I don't owe anybody a justification, I would let the newsgroups
knot that I find hunting and beef as well as chicken farming so disgusting
and perverted that I choose a VERY long time ago to become a vegetarian.

But living in Greece I choose to concentrate on fighting the perverted
habits in this country, i. e. how they treat companion animals and at the
same time call themselves "the craddle of civilisation".

Regina, who I believe is a German, has resided at least part of the time in
Chania for several years; I have had a few run-ins with her before. She
hardly ever contributes anything to these pages unless it's slagging off the
Cretans for her impression that they should be uniquely cruel to her dear
pet animals.

She is, in fact, re-paying the famous Cretan hospitality in her own special
way.

Being a vegetarian, and for some weird reason proud of this, she is of
course holier than thou, and is the ideal person to tell the rest of the
world how to live.

She is a typical one-issue campaigner.

Henry.

Here's a bit of needless flaming from Mhtsos, filled with his usual lies.
Not worth an answer.

Ha ha ha! I am really glad I never ever met you, Richard!

What a strange point of view - mixing up the care for tortured and abused
creatures with racism... ts ts ts, where have you been "educated"?

Richard, here's something especially for you:

<< The Starfish Story
adapted from The Star Thrower by Loren Eiseley
1907 - 1977

Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his
writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw
a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of
someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and
that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching
down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the
ocean.

He came closer still and called out "Good morning! May I ask what it is that
you are doing?"

The young man paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the
ocean."

"I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" asked the
somewhat startled wise man.

To this, the young man replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If
I don't throw them in, they'll die."

Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, "But, young man, do you not
realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all
along every mile? You can't possibly make a difference!"

At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw
it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, "It made a difference for
that one." >>

As I cannot save the whole world I concentrate on the part of the world
where I live and this is Greece. And I regard the suffering cats and dogs
here as the "starfishs" I can try to save. It is that simple and has nothing
at all to do with racism.

Of course I contribute also in protests against any form of animal abuse or
destruction of the environment, I am a vegetarian and environmentalist
myself. But the main focus is here where I am in order not to split up and
thus weaken my forces.

They probably include the goats in that number.

Response to:
Then the estimates of about 500.000 stray animals on Crete are vast
exaggerated. 2 stray animals for every Cretan?

Seanie Ruttledge can't be serious with his threats any more. We know
where he works and lives.

Response to:
Nicolas Krinis P.T ( Nashton ) is a serial TURK HATER
