I am looking for information on traveling to Florida with my two labs.
Information such as: places to stay (looking in South Florida - (Ft.
Lauderdale & vicinity) or on the south Gulf coast (Ft. Myers &
vicinity). Also interested in some reputable dog sitters or doggy
camp/daycares where we can leave the dogs on days we can't take them
with us). Also, dog friendly beaches etc etc. Actually, any
information would be helpful (other than . . . don't do it!!!) We
have looked into leaving them at home (Toronto) but the cost of day
care for the month of February is going to run us $1,500-$1,800; a lot
more than we're willing to spend. You can also email me directly at
lab_chat.TakeThisOut@yahoo.ca. Thanks for your help

Many of the regulars here have not only filtered out PW's messages and/or
replies to him, but also posts that even mention his name. One of the
regulars here has gone camping in Florida with her Lab, along Gulf coast
IIRC, and probably has personal info that you'll find helpful.

Have you checked Orbitz.com, Travelocity.com, Priceline.com and the like for
pet-friendly lodging?

You might want to check with your vet, too, to make sure that your dogs'
inoculations are not only current, but cover some of the stuff we down here
have to have our dogs vaccinated against.
