Bob was dozing in his corner so I thought I would gather up all the ripped
and shredded pages out of his phone book. After a minute or so the little
devil charged at my hand and growled?!! I beat a hasty retreat. I wasn't
touching him and I don't think I was annoying him, guess he thought I was?
I have never heard Bob make any noise so this came as a bit of a shock..LOL

Regards Kate and Stroppy Bob

Biscuit used to do this all the time! I'd get home around 6 and
wanted to say "hi" and pet him, but he wanted nothing to do with me.
He would lunge at me and softly grunt/growl to tell me "hey dummie,
I'm resting here! leave me alone."
I finally caught on.
and I resist the urge to straighten up their things when they have
gotten them "just so."

After he spent all that time carefully putting those pieces in exactly
the right places, how DARE YOU move them!!! :)

Pepper rearranges things in my living room if she doesn't like them. It
took a week of her pulling the plug out every night for me to figure out
that she didn't like the lamp there - it was in the way of her favorite
lap-running path. It wasn't until she actually tugged the (covered)
cord out from under the couch and left it lying in the middle of the
floor that I got the hint. She also moved the trash can next to my desk
further away from the wall.

So could be a mixture of "MY STUFF!1!", a bit of territority stuff, and
you may have just come in from an unexpected angle and startled him.

Just leave them alone for now and he'll be fine.

There is something about a growling bunny that always makes me laugh! Of
course, I growl back, especially at little Louie - his growl is SO
intimidating, and then he gets so confused when I answer him.

I love your Bob stories.

Kuni growls, so much so that my friend Greg has nicknamed him "Tiger".
:-) Kuni has a big repetoire of noises. he has a gruff grunt when he
is curious but wants to come as bunly, he growls when he is protecting
his turf (or sometimes Raul; even though Raul is the dominant bun Kuni
is protective of him), and he has a contented grunt/snort when the hay
is particularly delicious or he's gotten a treat of kale, his favorite
green. [Kale being high in calcium, it's a "sometime" treat and in
moderation.] Raul is quiet as were my first two buns , except of
course for thumps and scurrying.

Cheers, Diva
Kuni [Grrrr..beware the master of tae bun do and his mighty teeth] and
Raul [I don't need no protectin' *hmmpf*]

The Phooka has no problem with grphing at the Jazzi-kitty, when she is
living up to her nickname of The Brat-Cat. He'll box at her, too. She
listens to him, though. Ignores me completely, but will listen to the
rabbit. Go figure...
