Just thought I would let you know I have got a new rattie girl to join the
two other ratties Cassy and Sassy. She is a little albino with a spalsh of
tan on her back and she is a small baby. I am not sure what I am going to
call her yet but she is getting along fine with Cassy and Sassy and they
have become a happy little family.

You have a nice little collection of fuzzies there! Rattie sounds adorable.
Most young pets that are brought home are very nervous and unsure at first.
It takes a little while to settle in and get used to their new surroundings.
Hopefully your kitten is just experiencing a few nerves and will settle down
and start eating later on today. If not it wouldn't hurt to take him for a
check over at the vets.

Glad to hear that the new little girl rattie is settling in well with her
new surrogete Mums, hope the new hamster is too. I think you will notice a
change in the kitten once his surroundings get familiar so I wouldn't worry
too much at this point. I have 3 cats , one is 14 yrs old, one is 7 years
old and a kitten of 9 months. I hardly ever see them drink ( except milk)
but I'm sure they must do when I'm not in the kitchen..
Know what you mean about having a spare cage, I had a big one about a month
back. Two of my old rats had lost their companions and as their cages had
always been side by side I thought I would see how Matilda and Disney would
get along together. I left the cage doors open, the next time I looked
Matilda had gone into Disneys cage and she hasn't left, it's like they've
always been together, really sweet. So that left one spare cage which I said
I would give away to make more room , I was determined, even though everyone
seemed to know me better. Three days later it became the home to 3 lovely
little girls ( Portia, Jasmine and Lily ).
Let us know what you name your newcomers,
Best wishes,
Rosalind.

Hi Rosalind and Tracy
You will be glad to hear that our new baby kitten has eaten a meal tonight
and he has done very well and has settled back down again on the sofa. Yes
you are right Rosalind I have got a nice collection and I love them all. We
have 5 cats, Tigger a ginger year old tom which we got as a kitten, Gemma a
grey and white tabby who is 8 years old and we got her from the RSPCA along
with her sister Fluffy who is also 8 years old and she is a tabby main coon,
we have misty a black and white fluffy girl who is about 6 years old and
then we have the new kitten. We then have Cassy, Sassy and Tia the 3
goergous girlie ratties who are just so adorable. We have Casper the ickle
hamster. We have Benson the 6 month old labrador retriver and we have 3
rabbits, Snowy, Ottis and Jasper. That is my family oh and not forgetting my
husband who I also love and adore but he is the worst one out of the lot.

Hi April,
Sounds like you do have a great little family. I love Maine Coon cats. I
know someone who has one called Blue and when I first saw him I couldn't
believe my eyes he was so huge. I've got a tabby and white cat called Oliver
who's 14, a ginger and white rescue cat called Mozart who's 7 and Angel
who's a blue and cream point persian who's 9 months old and was a Christmas
present to myself. Then there's my 5 little girl ratties, a hamster called
Sushi and four mice Pixie and Dixie and Jemima and Lucy. My husband bless
him didn't really want any of them but he's grown to love them all just like
me.
Glad to hear the new kitten has had a meal. I'm sure you'll get lots of
pleasure from your new recruits. Love the names you've chosen by the way.
Best wishes,
Rosalind.

That's good, he obviously just needed to get settled in a bit.
Wow, you have a fine bunch of pets there! Bet it's a full time job cleaning
out and feeding! I just have four ratties at the moment. If it was up to
me and we had a bigger home I'd have a few more - a dog or two probably.
My dream is to live on a small holding and be surrounded by animals. <Lives
in hope of winning the lotto....>

Crikey you will soon be able to open to the public with your menagerie, and
all the critter cleaning, how long does it take you?

It takes me a good hr or so to do them all but they are worth it and yes in
a way they cost a bomb but again they are worth it and we buy in bulk which
tends to cut the costs a bit.
