My pug has thrown up three times since yesterday, but shows no other
signs of illness. He's 9, and showing good energy, and is eliminating
normally.

Any thoughts?

Has his diet changed? Eaten anything out of the norm like high fat table
scraps? Could he have gotten into something? There are so many things that
could be causing this. At age nine he's a senior dog. If it were me I'd take
him in to the vet for an exam and blood work.

Given your dog's age, I'd have him seen by your vet.

...........What's he throwing up - food or bile? I think I'd rest his
stomach for 24 hours, liquids only, then give a small meal and see what
happens. If he vomits that meal, I'd go to the vet.

It was his normal food. My husband stayed home from work in the
morning to keep an eye on Chester. It must have been a brief bug,
Chester didn't vomit anymore after that, is fine this morning. Keeps
everything down, is in full pug begging mode.
