We all should give thanks for the grackle, the loud, obnoxious black
bird, larger than a crow, that eats and shits its way across America.
Unlike pigeons which are mostly pests in city parks and other
unshootable areas, the grackle blights open country frequently. It's a
great aerial varmint. It's big and black, stands out, and explodes
gratifyingly when hit by a good high-muzzle-velocity smallbore varmint
round.
I love killing them, with pistol , rifle, or muzzleloader.
