hi all I've run into an fish i.d. problem some of you might be able to help me
with
Just last week I bought 6 "BLUE FLAME TETRA'S" at my local lfs," their listing
not mine". When I went back trying to buy some more they were out of them but
said they would order some more . When they called their supplier they had
never heard of blue flame tetra's???????????? Maybe someone knows what they are
called or knows the proper name? They look like a flame tetra (von rio?) and
their backs have a definitive blue colour like a gas flame Any help or guesses
would be appreciated for I would like to expand the school to about 20 they are
quite a sight with their blue backs and orangey coloured tail area and school
very well
T.I.A. as usual and regards ART

In German "Colombia" is spelled "Kolumbien", so that may be the source
of the confusion.

One would have to go to the original species description to see what
spelling was used there, this is then mandatory even if it contains an
error.
