Hello,

I've read about this in books but never really heard anyone talk about it
personally on one of the forums or elsewhere, the "teaching" bird as some
call it.

When I got Buddy, he wouldn't eat vegetables, fruit, even Birdie Bread!
Once I put Berry in the cage with him, Berry started eating the treats,
getting Buddy interested in all things non-seed. It's been cool to watch.
My two are not tame, but live in a large cage with lots of toys, rocks,
logs, sea shells, etc. Yes, this makes for extra work cleaning up, but they
play with everything.
But it's been cool to actually see the "teaching" in action. Now both birds
eat unfamiliar foods.
