I can see that for chewing but how about for barking, how do you not
allow them to continue?

Have you tried putting them on an air-conditioned porch?
What about leaving them outside all day?
Maybe you should get your puppy another to keep him company?

Oh yes, we remember. I thought you guys over at [sorry, I can't
remember the name of the group] had won him over with kinder, gentler
