First ever tank

Just finished setting up a new 120L tank (Never had fish before).

I've followed the instructions from several books on how to setup, etc. I'm
at the stage were the tank is full, everything running but no fish (another
3 weeks or so... YAWN)

What are the hardiest fish out there that I should buy to start stocking my
tank?

what are you using to "cycle" the tank if there are no fish. Are you going
the fishless cycling with ammonia or??. If you not doing the fishless cycle
then you need to add some fish to get the cycling process underway. A few
Zebra danios or some similar inexpensive fish , perhaps 3 or 4 initally
would be a good choice.
