You must be blind then. Here's the part you "missed".

<<I've recently had an Angelfish spawn.
I currently have many lovely Bettas (mostly crowntails), many females
and several males, Pearlscale Angels, and one half pearlscale/marble
that recently spawned with my silver pearlscale angel.
The Bettas are in nothing smaller than a 1 1/2g tank equiped with
heater and filter of course.
That's only 2 of the males though. The rest are in 2 1/2g's, 3g's, a
5g, and then a resident male and all the females are in a 75g.
If anyone thinks Bettas can't be in larger tanks, with tank mates
must
a moron.
These fish are only slow when kept in small, cramped quarters like
little bowls.
Current studies have shown that by keeping them in small bowls /
vases
without room to really swim and stretch those fins, damage is done to
their muscles and tissues.
It's also proven that they live 5-6-7 + yrs when kept in larger,
heated and filtered tanks like other fish.
These fish for the most part are social creatures. There are the rare
ones that do not like company, but those shouldn't be kept in small
containers. The deserve a normal size tank equipped with heater and
filter too.
As of right now, my angel fry are little wrigglers. So cute.
I was able to save only a handful from one of the other Angels in the
tank. I had removed the Pleco to another tank so he woulnd't gobble
them up, but another male decided he didn't like his mate spawning
with another male and went in for all the eggs. He was getting
bitten,
chased, the whole nine yards, but it didn't matter to him. He wasn't
having this spawn in the tank.
I quickly scooped up as many eggs as I could get....all while this
male was trying to eat them. He didn't even care about my hand or the
net being there that was catching the eggs as I removed them from the
spawning site.
They have a little Riccia and Duckweed in with them for cover and to
feel a little more secure.
They'll be hungry little buggers soon.
As soon as a switch some tanks around I'll put the orignal angel pair
in a tank of their own.
I would prefer the female to spawn with the gold pearlscale, as I
wanted pearlscale fry.
I have 3 local shops that want some, so I'll have no problem with
what
to do with fry when old enough to go.
So come folks, lets see how many posts we can get going about actual
FISH. = ) >>>>

It was in a post you replied to.
How about you talk about fish in a fish newsgroup.
=======================
Yes, let's talk about fish. :-) I misunderstood what you meant - that it
was your own post. I have a beautiful Oranda with swim bladder problems. I
found that the sinking soft moist foods helps her tremendously. The brand I
have is HBH Soft Frozen Food Alternative. I hope this is the answer for her
because she's beautiful and I don't want to lose her.

Carol...
That was great!
Thank you.
Now I have heard, and I'm guessing you have too, that Goldies get the
swim bladder disorders pretty commonly.

= Unfortunately this is true for all but the normally shaped Shubunkins and
Comets. I recently lost a nice water-bubble-eye to this disorder. This was
before I happened upon the soft moist food at PetsMart.

Reasons being too much air while eating, too much dry food, or some
sort of disease that can be treated via antibiotics.
I thought I had saved the article in my fav folder, but I've gone
through it and it isn't there.
I wish I could remember because the author was a big time goldie
person and found that this common problem can be easily cured.

= I've read it can be cured and did have some improve with the feeding of
sinking foods such as peas, algae wafers and shrimp pellets.... but in the
end they would die. The longest I've ever had them live once the first
floating episode happened was a about a year. But I never tried the sinking
soft moist foods before.

How did this news slip by? - you probably told us and it was me that
missed it. I presume the little wrigglers are from your new
Angels....You are right that there will be other spawns especially as
you have a pair......I hope that you have some left today

Stop stirring the pot. I misunderstood what she meant. Now let's stick to
fish if you don't mind. :-)) Stay on-topic!

I see *YOU* added the kook NG which I removed. Now please stick to the
topic which is freshwater fish.

Thanks..........

I had two recent instances of my cories laying eggs, but no luck on
any arrivals. The bala ate up the first session of eggs..so he's
history. The second batch just dissappeared after 3 days. Unless
they're hiding in the gravel...dunno...the tank has 10 Tiger Barbs
(probably the reason)...along with 4 elegant cories.

Hell, I'm trying to cull the population, not increase it. Cavair for
some I guess.

Its been found out that Tara Legale the only friend of Carol Gulley is
a cat killing wacko........POsts in her name to follow shortly....This
fat slob pretends to be a lawyer yet all she is, is a performer ins
side show as the worlds fatest and dumbest person on earth. She begs
for dog biscuits.........Consumes 32 hamburgers in a single setting,
and eats over 50# of french fries a day. Her donut consumption is
noted inthe Guiness Book of Records as most donuts consumed by a
"human"......Its been contested though as everyone says she is not a
human by any means as she lacks the abaility to reason and think
things out!

So be sure to catch the Tara Legale and Carol Gulley Dog and Pony show
right here on the usent.

So how many cats have you done in Tara........and here Caro Gulley
hollers like a banshee about killing herons yet you kill some poor
little kids cat and get off on it.....So does carol hold the cat w
hile you bash its head in with a baseball bat or do you slit its
throat.......I think the two of you have a cat killing cult
going........your both so freaking strange anyhow!

Roy,
I've already asked once in this thread to please not cross post a
thread I started. I don't do that, nor do I want to have to keep
checking before I reply to something if somebody else has set it up to
do so.
If that's what you want to do with your own discussion thread, that's
your business. However, please don't do it with one of mine. Thanks.

Now, this thread had started to get *on topic*. Please let's leave it
to fish. Not about Tara or Carol, but about fish.
You've had some new fish arrivals right? How are the Angels doing?
So far I have only 6-7 Angelfish fry left.
I moved them to a 2 1/2g tank of their own. Their yolk sacs are almost
used up and should be free swimming soon.
I'm trying a new fry food by Hikari called First Bites. I've never
used it before and it appears to be of a good size.
I'm even thinking it might be small enough for Betta fry. The
individual pieces are smaller than a newly hatched Brine Shrimp.
That would be so cool not to hatch out Brine or get smelly microworms.

This sounds like something I would like to try for new koi fry. Did you
find it in the local pet shop? I've been using ground flakes and
hard-boiled egg yokes.

The Oranda is still improving on the soft moist food she's being fed. :-)
She wont be getting any more regular GF pellets.

Hikari's First Bites is available at our local PetSmart. I'd check any
pet shop though.
If not, go to Hikari's web site and ask for a retailer that sells it.

I'll be going to PetsMart next week. I'll look for it then. There's also a
