Usual is the selling price of the pick male pup.
That assumes that the bitch will be housed with the male for 2
breedings and that he is a proven stud. If he has never been used
before or if none of his get have done anything of note, then you're
really in no position to discuss a stud fee. Unless his SV rating is
exceptional and he is well known to GSD fanciers in your area, there
won't be any demand to use him at stud. Look at it from the point of
view of someone who has a quality bitch to be bred - they have their
choice of any proven stud, anywhere, with knowledge of what to expect
from prior breedings. There's no advantage to using an unknown,
unproven dog, regardless of his breeding. That's why most 1st
breedings are to a bitch owned by the same breeder.
