Post subject: Question about strays and ferals when the colony disappears
Archived from groups: rec>pets>cats>rescue (more info?)

I am a bit concerned. Ok, this isn't really a full colony but several
strays that have been hanging around feeding from sympathetic humans
start being rehomed. One of three was just rehomed last week. The
second was to be rehomed to the same home this week but due to
complications from the hurricane Isabel, he won't be going to that
home until the first week in Oct. There was a third (well a fourth,
too, but I kept her) but I thought he was long gone as of a month or
so ago. He isn't as tame as the others. What do you think will
happen with him/her once the final cat in the group goes to his home?
Now that I know he's still around I will trap him to be neutered, but
how will he do with all of his "friends" gone?

Question: Wobbly Kitten - I took in two stray females a couple of months back. One went on to have 3 kittens (the other one not pregnant, whew!). The little ones are now 3.5 weeks old and one of them is a wobbly kitten. I think there is also some vision impairment. The vet says..
