For me, it was a $50 bill, obviously purloined from my purse. I thought I'd
lost it after cashing my check, but my daughter found it when she was
cleaning out from under her bed...
But it took 2 more 'findings' before I finally trained myself to both put my
cash into my wallet, zip up my purse, and make sure I stopped leaving it
anywhere the furries could get to it.
At least they didn't actually eat the money, like some pets would do. >> Stay informed about: What's the strangest thing you've caught your ferret stash.. |

Dinky has been trying to steal a screwdriver recently, probably because it
has a nice rubber handle. It's a bit too heavy or awkward for her tho' as
she keep dropping it, can't get a good picture, which is a shame.

The cat. She was none to happy about it either. lol
The ferret is big, the cat small, a kitten at the time.
Sid grabbed her and dragged her under the futon.
She wouldn't stay put and he got so upset with her!
Silly animals.

Two of ours conspired together to put a mop or a broom (I don't remember
which after all this time) under the couch. They brought it into the living
room from the front hall. Took them a while too. Maybe 10 or 20 minutes.

Saving for treats. Under beds are better than banks.

One of mine - Lucky I suspect - got a buddy's wallet while we were in
the water. We came back to a trail of $20 bills leading across the
carpet from his napsack to his wallet, under the stereo center. Coulda
been Luce.. another devious little *(!&^ in her own way. Maybe they
conspired.. Whoever it was, they didn't eat any money.
And not so strange, but a warning to new ferret owners. Never set cell
phones to "vibrate only" when you're at home. If the ferrets get 'em,
you might not find 'em until next spring.

My very first little girl Crystal managed to drag my 35mm camera
case which was about 12x10x8 inches full of lenses and camera under
the couch. I thought I was going nuts (which is always a possibility)
thinking I must have put it away somewhere and just didn't remember
when or where.
The first night I brought her home, I ddin't have a cage for her
yet so she had the run of the apartment. When I woke up the next
morning I found that little sweetie had climbed into bed with me and
was curled up under my armpit fast asleep. It was very cute but I went
out that day and got her a cage for sleeping as I didn't want to risk
rolling over on her in the middle of the night.

Abner and Data did a joint effort on a spare castor wheel, but data kept
running off because of distractions.

Well, I've found a lot of strange things under my bed but I think it is
always funny to see on of my ferrets struggling to drag a full roll of paper
towels down the hallway. The work so hard that I don't have the heart to
take it away from them until they have it stashed and have gone on to
something else.

Bacchus' all time favorite prize is one of those ziplock bags of brown sugar
you get at the supermarket. They weigh about a pound and a half when full,
but are oh so soft with a nice plastic exterior little ferret teeth can sink
right into. The ultimate thrill is grabbing one from the pantry and tugging
backwards on it, dragging it all the way down the stairs and into his
basement nest.
