Post subject: stragne behaviour..
Archived from groups: alt>pets>parrots>african-grey (more info?)

My grey, about 5 years old, has started this odd behaviour..

Normally, when the cage door is opened, he'll fly out and sit on his
favourite perch, usually the top of the room door.

Lateley, he's taken to crouching on top of his cage, with one foot inside
his empty steel feed bowl. He's reluctant to leave the situation, it's
almost like he's trying to nest or something similar.
Gender is unknown, but suspected to be female, due to his preference for
males, and contempt for females! But we always call him a "he" for some
reason.

Could this be a broody thing?

Thanks

Niichollette
