Why just to the belly ?
Fill it right to the top with cold water, and I guarantee that cat will
never jump in there again.
And don't worry, it won't drown.
But it won't be any too pleased.
BTW make sure all the breakables are out of the bathroom, as that cat will
fire off like a bullet
As with the other posts, make sure there is a litter box nearby, and slowly
move it over the course of days/weeks to where you intend to keep it
permanently
