How do you minimize the odor coming from your mouse cages? I just got
some boy mice, and I can't believe how much smellier they are than the
girl mice.

Males do smell more than females, they need more ventilation if the smell is
building up so quickly - you haven't got them in a glass aquarium have you?
If so, you will need a tightly fitting mesh lid to allow for free air
movement.......also you would be advised to get rid of any wooden toys they
may have as they hold the smell in longer - use plastic and you can also use
cat litter (the dried clay type - it's looks like grit) which will
de-odorise their urine.....just put a sprinkle of it in each corner, but a
word of warning - it sets quite hard once it's been peed on a few times!

sometimes you can't. some people are simply sensitive to it, and there's
nothing to be done. it helps to keep the cage room well ventillated, maybe
even to the point of putting a fan in a window and next to the mouse cage to
pull the smell out of the room.
