We're not talking specifically about what you're advertising/selling-
we're talking about using booties in general. BTW- do you ever actually
contribute to other threads, or only to ones where you can push your
product? So far, I've not seen you post anything but veiled spam.

HOWEDY Kathleen,

Sinofabitch is a liar, a dog abuser and a MENTAL CASE:

"I Dropped The Leash, Threw My Right Arm Over
The Lab's Shoulder, Grabbed Her Opposite Foot
With My Left Hand, Rolled Her On Her Side,
Leaned On Her, Smartly Growled Into Her Throat
And Said "GRRRR!" And Neatly Nipped Her Ear,"

The latter is fairly obvious; if you've posted about BCs or flyball, I've
apparently missed seeing those posts. If you do post on those subjects, my
apologies.

Yep, it did and does.

> I felt I had a valid contribution to make.

<shrug> The only contributions I saw from you came across as efforts to
turn the discussion to a product that you have for sale. Sorry, but that's
something I find annoying.

Well, all too many look like barrels. Sometimes, it's just fat, but
sometimes well-conditioned ACDs are thick through the abs the way upper
level dressage horses are thick through the abs -- it may look like
chubola, but it's actually a rebuilt tranny for the rear-mounted engine <g>.

ACDs do not kidney bean. They whirly-tail instead. Tails that go
roundy-round are a *very* important breed feature (one of the many
reasons that docking an ACD is Just Wrong).

OTOH, I've never noticed any of 'em having trouble, uh, "grooming" their
tail. Or under their tail. So, maybe they've got special grooming
hinges or something.

I'm sure it does. Also, given the relative size/design of the average
Boxer and the description of those few extant Boxer tails, I suspect
that counterbalancing a fully-tailed Boxer would be like trying to power
a sailboat with a hand-held "personal fan".

Ah, but do Boxers "popcorn" like Poms? (And guinea pigs!)

Yup - a friend recently adopted such an ACD, a blue girl. Some
of her thickness was fat, which she quickly lost, but she's
still known (affectionately) as a "Pit Bull Cattledog".

Erm, well- in Rocsi's case, it WAS vetrap. She wasn't wearing a bootie,
she was wearing the Vetrap bandage the vet put on after he did the surgery;
it simply happened to cover her foot and ankle like a bootie.
When I re-did the bandage and discovered the sore on her leg (she
decided to go swimming with the bandage on, and I had to replace the whole
thing), I put padding UNDER the dewclaw- IOW between her claw and the side
of her leg.

Righto - the issue, as I've heard it from people who've
experienced it, is not "smooshing" per se but rather
friction between the dewclaw and the leg.
