Luckily my critters' heels are fine, but I saw on the website of the shelter
I once got Hendrik from, that they rescued a Flemish Giant that had been
rather neglected, including sore hocks. They asked if someone could knit her
some little socks!
Well, I can't, but I'm sure my mom CAN! So I made a sketch, emailed it to my
mother, and this is what happend:
http://elsewhere1.myphotoalbum.com/albums.php
I also sent them some 'Collasate' which worked great when my rexes had sore
hocks when I first got them.
Enjoy!

That is wonderful Els! What a great idea and so sweet of your mom to
assist with her knitting talents.
I loved the sketch you sent her too. I had no clue what it said, but
the picture with the measurements looked so technical - I got a smile
out of it!

Me & technical... now you make me smile!
It just wrote that the bit around the heel should be a little wider as
that's where the wound was and it shouldn't pinch there. And so she made
this wonderful tiny bunnysock with heel. I think it's Art!

That looks like a great idea Els. Maybe your mom should start a
business. Socks for the hocks! Yup - that's what it should be!

Hi
I think your Mum could make a fortune in Japan with these. You know how
their slippers have a space for the big toe and another one for all the
other toes. And they have a strap that goes between. Well with these they
could wear their slippers and wriggle their toes too!!!
