The snail bait I just bought lists a warning not to use when pets are around
as they may ingest it. Will cats eat this and if so, is it dangerous to
them?

I don't think they will be attracted to it, but playful, inquisitive kittens
may go for it. Don't risk putting any bait out where kittens play!
