i have owned a sharpei and so has my sister and neighbor.

I have experienced everything that can happen almost with a sharpei.

Ask away anything you like. They are the greatest pets to ever have in the loving caring category. The are trouble if you got them from a bad breeder.

my kids got me a sharpei for my birthday he is 9 months old.
very smart and very lovable he is strong as an ox and can out smart us. he is a known escape artist I call him wild man but we love him dearly diferent from any breed we ever have had an excellant pet. Be careful with the chin acne, if they don't keep their wirinkle dry this can occur and will have to be treated the same as a human. When mine was younger I used to use baby powder on his wirnkles to keep hime dry..What color is your shar pei is it a he or she... Mine is a male I recently had him nuetored...They are such charactors I have him groomed and he will keep his scraf on until I take it off. Good luck and enjoy your shar pei...
