Hello,
I moved into a rented house last year. We had a couple of dumbos a few
years old. A month after moving in one of them went blind, he used to
walk around in circles shaking his head and was really unresponsive. He
couldn't find his food or water bottle. We took him to a well trusted
vet and she recommended that we put him down. We did so thinking that
his quality of life was very bad.
A fews after that our other baby began to have fits, he would panic and
jump around. Shortly after this he had what appeared to be a heart
attack and passed away.
All this happened before Christmas. Our landlady moved out last week so
we had a massive spring clean. To our horror we found out that she had a
couple of rat and mouse repellers plugged in.
Do you think that it might be possible that they finished off our babies?!

Concerned,

Mark

Sadly enough, that was almost certainly the cause. Did your landlord
know of your pets? If so, she should have told you about the
preventative measures that she was using for pests.

Yes, it does sound like that was the problem. Did she know that you had
rodent pets? If so, she was committing animal abuse; deliberate cruelty to
animals is a crime punishable by fines and even punishment in most states
and cities. I would have absolutely no mercy on a person who deliberately
tortured helpless animals in this way.

If she did not know that you had rodent pets, then it was just a terrible
mistake, and there is no reason to harbor ill-feelings towards your
landlady.

Robert & Donna,
wiht our brood Lily, Daisy, Heather and Laurel.
