Hello to all
Can anybody give me advise on buying a ragdoll cat, I have heard that they
make wonderful loving pets.

Why don't you adopt a cat from the shelter? So many need good and loving
homes.

Seriously, you can find a great cat at the local shelter. We got our
current cat
at the shelter, and he's a really friendly loving pet. What we did was
browse
the various cats on the "showroom floor" and essentially "interview" them.
One cat really liked our petting him and purred when we had him in the
"get to know you" room, so we adopted him.

Mix breed cats tend to be healthier than purebreed cats, less inbreeding.

Im not sure what a raggdoll cat is ? Is that similar to a himalayan? I agree
with what people are saying to you in here but i think they went about it in
the wrong way. I have to cats that a mother cat literally abanoded on my
door there eyes werent even open and i had to feed then with a bottle baby
kitten formula, they were infested with fleas and it was very hard taking
care of them but well worth it. I will never buy an animal from a pet store
bc they are being bred to make money where animals in the pounds are
unwanted and alot of times going to loose there lives. I am looking in all
my local pounds for a himalayan cat bc my grandmother had them and ive
always wanted one but i refuse to buy one from the pet stores. I am sticking
to the idea that I wont get any more animals (seeing that I have alot and a
baby on the way) unless its a himalayan bc I love animals so much that I
would take in any stray and I know i cant do that so i hope you choose the
same decision as me and to buy a cat from a shelter even if it means waiting
along time for a certain one .... but better yet if its just a nice cat you
want there are plenty of loving strays at shelters they dont specially have
to be raggdolls to be nice or beautiufl. Hope i could help.

I never knew untill that moment how hard it was to loose something you never
really had - the wonder years
