What is its normal diet? Not just pine nuts I hope.
They need a wide range foods including fresh seeds, sprouted seeds, nuts
vegetables,fruits.
Never give chocolate or advocado as these are poison to parrots.
Its worth checking on line for a list of poisonous plants that parrots
must avoid.
Give him untreated wood to chew. Apple wood is good.
They are very sensitive to many chemicals that humans use in aerosols,
polishes and paints
so make sure he has good clean air to breath. They also need good
sunlight as much as possible
to help promote good feather growth. They also tend moult after the
first year.
They need lots of attention and out of cage time so they don't get
bored..
It's worth checking with an avian vet to ensure he has no skin
infection or parasites.
He may need a calcium suppliment. But most of all see an avian vet
as there are all kinds of reasons why Greys self pluck but if he is
healthy and active
and not left on his own for too long they will certainly all grow back
in a month or so.

One of my Greys pluked around her neck and chest area when I first
bought her.I took her to the vet and her blood count was off.The vet
gave her ivermectin for parisites,it has helped and she is now
regrowing feathers although the vet did say the bald patch on her chest
would not regrow due to damaged folicles .Before I bought her she and
her mate were feed a seed only diet[cheap seed at that]never allowed
out of their filthy cage,no proper lighting. They survived like that
over six months until the woman came to sense and realized she was just
to frightened of them to deal with them. Norma
