Do you own the dog?
Why are you selling the dog?
What is the price?
Is it male, or is it female?
How old is it?
Is it dog-on-dog aggressive?
Is it house trained?
Will it walk on a leash?
Is it heart worm negative?
Is it up to date on all vaccinations?
Has it been spayed or neutered?
Any recent champions in the dog's blood line?
What part of the world do you live in?
Is it okay with you, if the buyer wants to use the dog for fighting?
Do you live anywhere near an animal shelter? Visit it and count the
"pits" available. They are merely a part of your market competition. I
live in a small town, but there is always one or more "pits" in the
adoption area. And more often, there are "pits" that the public never
sees.
Until a couple of years back, no "pits" were seen by the public, because
they were all killed after their hold time expired. But, back to the
business aspect! As an example, again the shelter here. One can adopt a
"pit" for $20, if it has been spayed/neutered. Otherwise, males are $65
and females are #75 and they are claimed at the vet's office post
surgery. Can you match that pricing?
I've developed quite a fondness for "pits", and an equal dislike for
anyone who doesn't do what is best for them. I hope you do what is best
for your "pit", even if it means a financial loss.
