Hi,

I am thinking about getting a pit bull but I am not for sure where to look.
I am in Indiana and I was hoping that perhaps someone may be able to get me
started in the right direction. I really like the blue pits, but I am not
set in this color. I also don't really want to spend a whole lot of money,
but would like a dog with papers. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dustin

Spend the money and get a good dog.
Too many unprofessional breeders out there.
You get what you pay for.

I have considered that, and it is still on the table. I would prefer a
puppy that had papers. I'm not always particular about purebreds, but I
would like at least one dog of mine to be of pure blood. Is it typical to
find puppies with papers from rescues organizations?

life for the most part. currently i am in college, but i will be finishing
up by next december. i would like to get a dog now, but i dont know what
the future has in store for me and so i want to wait until after graduation
to get the dog. i am just curious as to where i should look to get the dog
when i am ready, so i can be prepared and knowledgeable about my purchase.

Yes, I have been wanting this dog for a long time now. I fell in love with
the breed after having to watch a full grown female for a friend of mine for
a few months. It was a sad story actually, she was having to move and
didn't know what she was going to do with it. In all honesty, she didn't
need the dog, and I was happy to look after it. I tried to keep it, but she
ended up giving it away to someone else. I don't know what ever happened to
the dog, but I do know that I really enjoy the breed! I have a book and
have read it. I am pretty sure that I know what I need to do to raise the
dog properly, but I am sure I will learn more as I go and especially after I
get the dog. I just can't wait until that day comes.

As for price, I think I will be willing to spend around $400. I can't
really see myself spending more than that for a dog though. I guess it will
ultimately depend on the situation I am in when it comes time to get the
dog.
