I want to create a wrestling organisation for cats. No holds
barred. Last cat standing matches.

Would you pay to see such an event or are you not into
cat-violence???

Additional to, or alternative to, prison time?
I guess that would depend on the sentencing Judge.

No-one pays to see dog fights, It's the gambling where the money's at.

I believe there was cat racing in London during the 70's, coinciding with
prolonged industrial action with race horses.
The runners/results were erratic......

If that were true, then why don't people just flip a coin? Heads you win,
and tails I win. and then we can sit by the fire and pet the dogs........

You mean why is gambling complicated? Based on all sorts of sports - rather
than a coin flip?

No. You said, "No one pays to see dog fights....It's just the gambling." And
what I am saying is that that's not true....It's the dog fights they want to
see. If all they wanted to do was gamble, then they could gamble on the flip
of a coin and not bother with the dogs, and it would be just as popular.

Jeffrey Bernard mentioned the incident several times in his books. His
gambling addicted friend, Conan Nicholas, had two cats and they would race
them over an obstacle course he built at his house with an open tin of tuna
at the end of it.

I think it was adverse weather conditions that stopped the horse races

Of course cats being cats, it was rather erratic and not much helped when a
friend brought his cat along to join in and was later accused of doping the
cat to make him/her run faster...or something like that

It's a very funny story but I don't have any of the books to hand, which is a
pity as they are brilliant!
