hey, thanx again to those who responded caringly to my question of how and
the best way to deworm my ball python. he has had his first dose of ivermec
and we are now waiting to do a fecal.

now, i'd like to keep this from happening again, and since my guy eats live
(i'm not happy about it either but it was a last resort next to
force-feeding) i'd like to treat the food source for worms before they get
digested themselves. i have a tube of zimecterin (deworming paste for horses
that worked great at getting rid of mites on my 'pet' rats) but it says not
to be used on animals that are to be used as a food source. does anybody
know or currently use some kind of deworming solution on their feeders? care
to share?

thanx,
wendy :-)

try adding bird wormer to the rat/mouse water supply? i use a product
specifically designed for herps, called worm-rid (injected into rat/mouse
pre feed, could prolly use this in the water too), dunno where youre located
but sells for about $10 AU
