Hi,
many thanks for the advice before, but seeing as we have no experience, me
and my wife are in need of advice again.
ok, we have a red rump tarantula (wedding present), and no experience. Our
spider has been a bit scary, but looking happy. Been eating ok, taking water
etc. She burrowed under her piece of bark, and came out daily, but she's
sort of covered up the entrance now, and hasn't come out for a few days. We
checked on her by looking under the tank, and she's still there and very
much alive, but is this normal? I think this is about 5 days now of no
contact
Many thanks for replies

hi,
yeah, as has already been said, i wouldn't worry at all.. i've had T's
disapear for 6 months+ and still come out fine and healthy, usually after
moulting..
some advice i'll give is that tarantulas aren't like your regular pets like
dogs and cats.. they really don't need our help and care, other than food
and water basically.. as long as we provide the right environment for them,
they should generally be happy healthy T's.
