Post subject: Where are the nests?
Archived from groups: rec>birds (more info?)

I've lived in my current house for ten years, and every year until now
robins and doves have built nests in three places where downspouts angle
against the house and also on top of a wreath that's near the front
door. This year I haven't seen a single nest in those places, though
there are plenty of robins and doves around. Also, a friend gave me a
ball of "nesting wool" to hang outside, and it's barely been plucked at,
even though it's been out since March. Any ideas?
