I've been noticing that my bunnies seem to behave differently
depending on what music I play while I'm working. They don't seem to
like Ali Akbar Khan, or Frank Zappa, but they become nice and mellow
with other stuff is on (they seem to like Leo Kotke, Simon &
Garfunkel, Bonnie Raitt, et al).

Anyone else noticed this? What's the music your bunnies seem to like
most?

Joe

Joe, Jessie doesn't like anything loud. If Dennis turns the TV up, she
leaves the room. She also probably wouldn't like twangy electric guitars.
I sound a bit like Jimmy Hendrix's guitar when I'm getting onto her for
gnawing something she shouldn't.

Jessie doesn't particularly like it when I sing to her (hmpph!). Toofer
used to like me to sing lullabies.

I don't really know what The Beeb and Cis Poo like best for music since my hubby
usually has the TV on, but Cissy likes it when I sing to her. I sing her a
special song that I made up just for her. BB will tolerate a serenade, but it
doesn't thrill him.

A couple of years ago my son did a study on Usagi's reaction to music.
Usagi was calmest with jazz and classical, more rowdy and the like
with rock and country. Besides behavioral observations, we took pulse
and respiration measurements which matched the behavioral
observations.

Wow, that's a lot farther than I thought of taking it. That's pretty
interesting.
