Try welded steel.

Make your 10 gallon tank out of 3/4" thick plate and you will not have to
worry about bowing. Use 6010 rod unless you want to upscale to MIG.

To save money, only use the new transparent steel for the front piece.

The drawback is that the rust remover messes your pH up (down actually

If you are a techie you can get Transparent Aluminum from Scottie. This
stuff will hold Humpback Whales at the speed of time travel, but only in a
Klingon Ship. Beam Me Up.

source of sponge material for DIY sponge filter - Hey folks. I would like to build my own sponge filter but am having a little trouble finding the material for the sponge. I have tried my lfs, Home Depot, and AC Moore. I am looking for at least a 4x4x4. Any specific suggestions? Thanks Steve
