Rufas was facing the corner hiding something he was eating. I think he knew
if i seen what he had i would take it from him. So i walked over and looked
and he was eating a marshmallow. My 10 year old must have dropped one when
he got them out earlier.. Does anyone know if the little bit he did manage
to eat is bad for him?? Now he's mad at me cause i took it from him....

Not to worry :-) It was a taste treat. It isn't something to do very
often, but Rufas must have felt he'd found a piece of heaven. There
probably won't be any noticeable problem from a bit of marshmallow.

He'll be all right. It's just a little.

I would assume the worst part of the marshmallow for the bun would be the
sugar. But the small amount he ate shouldn't hurt him. My only other concern
is that marshmallows contain gelatin, which is an animal byproduct. Since
bunnies are herbivores, would they be able to digest that?

hehe... no, I don't think it's "bad" for him necessarily... Unhealthy, yes
but I doubt he'll have any ill effects. My bun, Sgt. Major Todd loves
Marshmallows. Between the Craisins and Marhsmallows (especially if he gets
the whiff of peanutbutter) It's highly recommended that if anyone feeding
him values his or her hands and fingers, don't let him smell those things on
you! =)
