My mother-in-law's dog just had a small tumor removed from his belly
and I was wondering if there is anything we can do to make him more
comfortable. Since the surgery was performed on his underside it is
making it difficult for him to lay down. He is walking ok but he
can't really lay down. If anyone has had any similar experiences
please let me know.

Thanks,
Bob

Show the dog how to tip over on it's side....

Most dogs, after a neuter or spay, don't seem to pay much attention to
the suture line until a few days out when it itches as it's realy
starting to heal. And two of my guys have had surgery for bowel
obstructions. The incisional pain did not seem to be an issue after
about 2-3 days and was managed with Rimadyl.

Only with humans. But you might want to pick up a sheepskin (the fake ones work
fine). It can really make their place to rest a bit more comfy. Put some
blankets or towels underneath and cover with the skin.
