Don't worry too much about the biting. I have a female lovebird that used to
be a little nippy, but now I can pick her up and hold her like a baby in my
hand, and she holds her face against mine. Climbs all over me and never nips
at all anymore. If anyone else gets too close though, they need to watch
their fingers. :-) Point is to not get too worried over the nipping right
now. She will go through phases, and may change quite a bit as she gets
older. You could always get her a male cage mate and just enjoy them as a
pair and forget about handling them very much.
