Snake lost in house.

Tank was upstairs, 4 months pass, suddenly one day a snake skin appears
in the basement where the furnace and deepfreeze are located! It
really has grown in 4 months!

Any ideas for finding/trapping him while we're out of the house?

I'd lose corn snakes in the house, from time to time, due mostly to the
kids. The wife would be horrified, lol. The way to recapture them is to
leave the cover up (seat down is fine, by the way) and listen for her
screams.

All snakes gravitate towards water.
