Archived from groups: rec>pets>dogs>behavior (more info?)

Marcie is always happy to greet the day. My windows must block sound
well though, because although she was thrilled to get up at 6, she
wasn't so thrilled when I opened the back door and expected her to go
out in icy rain! So, I went out with her (TG for my full length down
coat with hood!).

I don't know what time the rain started, but I have several small lakes
in my yard now, and I swear that half of it is sliding away in mud. As
of yesterday, we still had patches of ice and snow. They are gone, but
the water-logged yard may never dry out again.

We just went out again and once under pine trees, my rain-phobic puppy
decided that the deep puddles were fun to play in. Like Lucy, the
difference between water ON her and her IN water is a vast divide.

I know I'll be hoping for this rain during the summer, but right now, I
am less than thrilled that I have a puppy who still requires a little
prompting to get down to business instead of chewing on sticks.
