My little girl is interested in having a spider collection. I know
nothing really about them so where on the web can we look for
information that a 12 year old can understand?

I'm not sure where the best on-line resource is, but I found my
local(ish) amphibian/reptile/fish shop told me all I wanted to know.

If you are looking at tarantulas, Bracypelma Smithis (Mexican red knee)
are ideal for a beginner as they are docile, don't really burrow, and
are beautiful to look at.
